The annual Texas Capital Foundation Honors Grants will be a competitive grant application process, resulting in four grants. Live, Learn, and Lift grants will be $50,000 each, and the STAR grant will be $100,000. The foundation aims to fund small to mid-sized organizations that are creating and implementing innovative, sustainable solutions to serve the greatest needs of communities.
Texas Capital Foundation takes a place-based approach to grantmaking, focusing on nonprofit organizations that operate in under-resourced areas within our footprint.

Live Award
Supporting access to nutritious food.
The focus of this grant is innovative, sustainable access to fresh food for food-insecure populations. Many under-resourced communities are also food deserts: without convenient, consistent access to fresh, nutritious food. Texas Capital Foundation is looking for programs that offer creative solutions to provide access to food where it is otherwise lacking.

Learn Award
Supporting career readiness certification programs.
One of the greatest workforce needs facing our nation is skilled tradespeople, and there is a gap in access and awareness to these opportunities. Texas Capital Foundation will fund a program that offers training and certifications in ‘middle skills’, giving individuals opportunities to obtain well-paying skilled jobs with growth potential.

Lift Award
Supportive services for women and children.
Women, and especially single mother heads of households, are the face of poverty in Texas. 1 in 3 women face domestic violence, and over 2 million women and girls experience poverty in Texas. Through this grant, Texas Capital Foundation aims to help our most vulnerable women and girls find stability through support services and housing.

STAR Award
Supporting services for veterans and military families.
Supporting our Troops, Active and Remembered: Texas is home to more veterans than any other state, and as a Texas-based financial services firm, Texas Capital is invested in our military families’ wellbeing. The STAR grant, the only $100,000 grant, will go to an organization serving the specific needs of our military and veteran population.

<center><h2>Community Impact Grants</h2></center>
The Texas Capital Foundation will continue to allocate its Community Impact Grants to nonprofits serving low-and-moderate income communities under the three pillars: Live, Learn, and Lift. These grants are by invitation only and adhere to the requirements of the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).
Funding is allocated annually to 501 c3 nonprofit organizations in good standing, which serve primarily low-and-moderate income communities in Texas Capital’s markets. For further questions, contact [email protected]

Why did you choose the specific issue areas for the Texas Capital Foundation Honors Awards?
The Community Development team performs annual market assessments and identifies the greatest needs in our communities. It is difficult to narrow down, but the decision is data-driven and based on research.
How does a nonprofit organization submit for grant funding consideration?
The grant submission portal for Texas Capital Foundation Honors Awards will go live on January 2, 2023 and will be posted on this site and on social media. All qualified submissions will be read and considered.
The Community Impact Grant process is a different grant program and is by invitation only. Selected nonprofits will be invited to submit a Letter of Inquiry in March. To learn more about the invitation process, contact [email protected]
How can a nonprofit qualify for a grant?
Texas Capital Foundation funds Texas-based nonprofit organizations that provide direct services to low-and-moderate income communities in the markets where the bank operates, under the pillars of Live, Learn, and Lift. All inquiries for grants are read and considered, but not all qualified submissions can be funded. The decisions are always difficult and many factors are used in the decision making process.
Does Texas Capital Foundation work with independent grant writers?
No. Texas Capital Bank Foundation has a grant application to be filled out by the designated nonprofit personnel.
