Chief Lending Officer, Texas Capital Bank
As a founding member of Texas Capital Bank, Vince Ackerson has been integral to the bank's growth and success. Before it became Texas Capital Bank, Ackerson was an organizer, shareholder and director of Resource Bank Dallas, which established Texas Capital Bank's charter. Since the bank's founding in 1998, he has steadily increased his level of responsibility because of his smart, focused and knowledgeable approach to serving customers' banking needs. In November 2008, he was named president of the five major markets and specialty lending groups in addition to his role as chief lending officer.
In this role, Ackerson is responsible for all lending divisions, including Corporate, Commercial, Mortgage Finance, Energy, Real Estate and other specialty lending groups, in addition to overseeing Private Wealth Advisors and Treasury & Liquidity Management. Previously, he was president of the Dallas region.
Prior to joining Texas Capital Bank, Ackerson was president of Mack Financial Group, Inc., managing the company's operations. While there, he successfully negotiated the purchase of the commercial finance division of a Fortune 500 company, provided financial consulting to a Fortune 100 company and headed the merger and acquisition work for a large NASDAQ-listed company.
When Texaka Bank in Kazakhstan forged a successful banking venture in the former Soviet Union, Ackerson served as founder, shareholder and director for this effort. He started his career at First National Bank of Dallas.
Ackerson serves on the Board of Directors for the SMU Athletic Forum, Senior Source and DOWNTOWNDALLAS.
Ackerson earned his masters of business administration and bachelor's degrees from Louisiana State University.
