Stop Payment

Placing a Stop Payment

Stop Payment on checks can be placed through BankNow and Mobile Banking App.  A stop payment does not guarantee that the check or checks will be stopped. The item may have already been processed and posted to the account.

  1. Log into BankNow.
  2. Select Stop Payment listed under Services in the left navigation menu.

  3. Complete the Stop Payment form.

    Account Number: Select the account number the check is issued from.

    Issue Date: Select date check was issued.

    Single Check: Select this to place a stop payment on a single check.

    Check Number: Enter check number.

    Check Amount: Enter check amount.

    Payee: Enter Payee name 

    Reason: Select Reason for Stop Payment.

    3a.Range of Checks: Select this to place a stop payment on a range of checks. Check range must be consecutive order.

  1. Stop Payment of Range of Checks:

    From Check Number and To Check Number: Enter check number range.  

    Reason: Select reason for stop payment.

    1.Check “I agree to the terms of the Stop Payment Disclosure”

    2. Click Submit button to place Stop Payment.

  2. Check “I agree to the terms of the Stop Payment Disclosure”
  3. Click Submit button to place Stop Payment.
