David S. Huntley

David S. Huntley was elected as a Director of Texas Capital Bancshares, in 2018 and currently serves as Chair of the Compensation & Human Capital Committee and as a member of the Audit Committee. 

He previously served as Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) and Chief Compliance Officer at AT&T, a role in which he was responsible for developing policies to safeguard the privacy of customer and employee information, verifying compliance with the legal and regulatory requirements of the countries and jurisdictions where AT&T operates and ensuring adherence to internal compliance requirements. His responsibilities also included accessibility compliance oversight. Mr. Huntley held this role from 2014 to 2023. Before that, he served as Senior Vice President and Assistant General Counsel – AT&T Services. In this role, he oversaw a nationwide team responsible for providing legal support to the Home Solutions and Global Marketing organizations. He was also responsible for Legal administration.

Previously, Mr. Huntley served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for the Advertising Solutions and Interactive Operations. He also has served as Senior Vice President – Mobility Customer Service Centers, where he led a team of more than 30,000 employees. His experience also includes serving as Senior Vice President of E-commerce, Direct Mail and Customer Information Services as well as significant positions in External Affairs, Wireless Operations, M&A and Data Operations.

Mr. Huntley takes pride in giving back to his community. He has served on the Executive Committee of the United Way of the Texas Gulf Coast, and at the Greater Houston Partnership, where he chaired the Government Relations Advisory Committee. He also served as a Board Member of the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau, and was on the 2004 Houston Super Bowl Host Committee.

Mr. Huntley’s commitment to service continues today on the boards of Texas Capital Bancshares, Inc.; AT LAST!; the Baylor Health Care System Foundation; and the Dallas Citizens Council. He also serves as a Board Trustee for his alma mater, Southern Methodist University, and as a member of the Texas Business Hall of Fame, the Executive Leadership Council and the Business Ethics Leadership Alliance (BELA) Executive Steering Committee.

A native Texan, Mr. Huntley holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York and a Bachelor of Arts from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
