David Oman is Managing Director, Chief Risk Officer* at Texas Capital and its parent company, Texas Capital Bancshares, Inc. (NASDAQ®: TCBI). He oversees the firm’s risk functions, enterprise risk management practices and programs, and regulatory compliance. David is responsible for the strategic development and execution of continued enhancements to Texas Capital’s risk management culture and capabilities that will further optimize proactive risk assessment and mitigation. He also serves as chair of the Executive Risk Committee, which oversees execution of the risk management framework and the firm’s risk appetite statements.

David joined Texas Capital in June 2024. He brings to his role more than 30 years of experience specializing in financial and non-financial risk management. Most recently, David served as a Managing Director in the Financial Risk Practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he provided financial and non-financial risk management solutions for clients that included fintech companies, regional banks, international banks and GSIBs. Prior to PwC, David worked at various global banks as a risk management practitioner in both wholesale and retail banking. David started his banking career at one of the predecessor J.P. Morgan banks and has covered credit, market and operational risks during his career.  

After graduating from Williams College with a Bachelor of Arts in history, David worked at the State Department and the White House. He previously served as a board member of the Risk Management Association.
