Jay Clingman is Managing Director, Head of Private Banking and Family Office at Texas Capital, where he also serves on the Operating Council and oversees the Business Development Office and Market Leadership Teams.

Jay joined Texas Capital in 2021 and previously led the Commercial Bank at the firm. Prior to joining Texas Capital, he spent more than three decades at JPMorgan in key regional markets across Texas, most recently serving as Managing Director and Region Manager of Middle Market Banking in North Texas and Oklahoma. Jay also held the roles of Managing Director and Region Head for San Antonio and South Texas; Managing Director of the Private Bank, responsible for all private banking efforts in San Antonio, Austin and Houston; and was responsible for leading statewide efforts for capital markets selling fixed-income securities to companies and high-net-worth individuals.

Jay earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He is FINRA Series 63, 24 and 79 certified. Jay has a long history of serving on many nonprofit boards in the Dallas and San Antonio areas and currently serves as a board member for Klyde Warren Park, the Dallas Regional Chamber and the Briscoe Western Art Museum in San Antonio.
